Position Description:

Major/Essential Functions:

• Delivers high-quality diagnostic services in anatomic pathology

• Participates in frozen section diagnosis, after-hours call and the autopsy service

• Participates in multidisciplinary tumor boards and academic conferences

• Contributes to departmental and institutional education programs and initiatives

• Engages in advancement of scientific knowledge through research and/or scholarship

• Demonstrates professionalism in accordance with the Foster School of Medicine's Declaration of Faculty Professional Responsibility.

• Adheres to all compliance policies (e.g., HIPAA) and departmental billing regulations.

• Adheres to the institutional and departmental policies and procedures.

• Serves the academic community through participation in institutional governance, such as committee work and other administrative duties.

• Contributes to the community through academically-related public service complementary to the institutional mission.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Two or more years of post-residency experience in surgical pathology.

• Training or substantial experience in GI, Breast, Head & Neck, Gynecological Pathology, or another Anatomical Pathology subspecialty.

• Experience in teaching medical students and residents.

• Established or emerging regional or national reputation for the rank of associate professor or higher.
