Job Duties
SMART Transit in Waseca is looking for a full-time lead transit bus driver. Responsible for transportation of employees, persons served and the general public in a safe manner. Will coordinate daily transportation schedule and route to insure efficient operation and will perform scheduled inspections to insure safe and lawful operation of the bus. Assist Operations Manager with daily operation of program including assisting with field training of drivers, and acting as first point of contact for driver issues and concerns.
Days/hours will vary. Minimum one year bus driving experience. Must have or obtain class C CDL with passenger endorsement. CVS will assist with training and cost.
Position requires above-average customer service skills, acceptable driving record, valid vehicle insurance, background and criminal record check along with DOT physical and drug test requirements.
