The immediate vacancy is with the Department of Land & Natural Resources, Boating and Ocean Recreation Division .

This recruitment will be used to establish a list of qualified candidates to fill the current vacancies and may be used to fill future vacancies as they occur.

Perform a variety of semi-skilled manual work tasks involved in road, building, and other maintenance projects, or refuse collection work involving continuous heavy physical labor as a major work assignment; and perform other related duties as assigned. To qualify, you must meet all of the following requirements:

LEGAL AUTHORIZATION TO WORK : The State of Hawaii requires all persons seeking employment with the government of the State shall be citizens, nationals, or permanent resident aliens of the United States, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment in the United States.

Experience and Training: ONE YEAR of manual unskilled and/or semi-skilled work experience in general construction and/or maintenance; or any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Driver's License: Some positions require possession of a valid driver's license at the time of appointment. The immediate vacancy has this requirement.

Special Requirements: Some positions require the ability to lift and carry items of various weights with or without reasonable accommodation. The immediate vacancy has this requirement .
