A qualified candidate must possess the following: Work experience in preparing foods and cooking simple foods and short orders in a cafeteria, restaurant, or mess.2. Demonstration of the following work behavior is desirable: Neatness and good grooming Dependability Ability to work under pressure NOTE: The above minimum qualifications must be described within the duties of previous work experience listed on the applicant's resume and/or supporting documents. A copy of all documents must be submitted at the time of application. Performs a full range of simple cooking of items that require little to no processing and prepping foods by peeling, chopping, cutting, grinding, pureeing, dredging and etc. Operates and cleans a variety of different standard kitchen equipment that use multiple types of heat sources such as gas, electricity, steam and/or microwave. Maintains a clean workspace and follows established sanitation procedures when handling food. Ensures foods are properly cooked and stored at the correct temperatures to prevent the growth of bacteria. Performs other duties as assigned.
