Northside Hospital, an award‑winning, state‑of‑the‑art health system in Atlanta, seeks a Cardiac Sonographer to join its expanding team, providing advanced cardiac imaging services to adult and geriatric patients while supporting quality improvement initiatives.

Key focus areas include Perform 2‑D, M‑mode, color flow mapping and cardiac Doppler echocardiography tests on adult and geriatric patients and Maintain performance improvement documentation in cardiac and ultrasound in accordance with IAC.

Preferred (not required): 2-D Echocardiography, M-Mode Echocardiography, Color Flow Mapping, and Cardiac Doppler Echocardiography.

Responsibilities Performs 2-D, M-mode, color flow mapping and cardiac Doppler echocardiography tests on the adult and geriatric patient population.  Responsible for maintaining performance improvement documentation in cardiac and ultrasound in accordance with IAC.

Qualifications REQUIRED

 

  • An appropriate credential in echocardiography:

  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) from American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)

  • Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)

  • Canadian Registered Cardiac Sonographer (CRCS), Sonography Canada

  • Advanced Cardiac Sonographer (ACS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)

  • Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification  

 

PREFERRED

 

  • Membership in professional society or societies related to the field of sonography.

  • Graduate of an accredited sonography or cardiovascular technology program. Work Hours: 0700-1930 Weekend Requirements: Yes- Rotating Basis
