Full job description

Florida Crystals is a leading domestic sugar producer and North America’s first fully integrated cane sugar company, guiding our sugar from farm to table. We are America’s first and only producer of certified organic sugar, grown and harvested in the United States. Our renewable energy facility is the largest of its kind in North America and provides clean energy that powers our sugar operations, which helps us reduce our use of fossil fuels. Florida Crystals also sustainably farms rice, sweet corn and other vegetables in rotation with our sugarcane. Our rice mill is the only rice mill in Florida.

OVERVIEW

Inspecting of diesel engines and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose and troubleshoot issues accurately.

DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Must have own tools

  • Applicant will be tested on entry level mechanical techniques

  • Applicant must possess entry level on troubleshoot diagnose, research manuals, communicate mechanical information and repair/rebuild:

  • Diesel

  • EnginesFarm

  • Support Equipment

  • Air Conditioning Systems

  • Basic Hydraulics

  • Electrical System

  • Applicant must display willingness to progress

  • Applicant must be physically fit to perform all aspects of job and work in various positions

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

  • None

WORK EXPERIENCES

  • Some hands on Mechanic experience preferable

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Applicant must have completed 1050 hours of a mechanic course at a Community College with Certification

  • Posses a High School Diploma or GED or other equivalency approved by Okeelanta Management.
