Job Duties
Assemblers-1st & 2nd Shift
Hiring Basis: Direct hire (Union)
Onboarding Requirements: Position is contingent on clean criminal background screen
Location: St. Anthony, MN 55413
1st Shift Hours: 7am-3:30pm Monday-Friday with Voluntary weekend overtime; Saturday is paid at time and half; and Sundays are paid at double time.
2nd Shift Hours: 3:30pm-12am Monday-Friday. Must be able to train on 1st shift for the first 3 months 7am-3:30pm Monday-Friday
Pay for 1st Shift: $20-$23/Hourly/W2. Depending on experience with potential to make up to $35 an hour.
Pay for 2nd Shift: $20 - $23 + $2.00 differential /Hourly/W2. Depending on experience with potential to make up to $35 an hour.
Overtime: Voluntary weekend overtime - Saturday is paid at time and a half, Sundays are paid at double time.
Assembles rotor assembly on synchronous, induction/turbo and laminated spider jobs
Assembles exciter rotor and stators
Rectifier assembly, steel, plastic and turbo diode wheels
Final assembly of synchronous, vertical, turbo generator and induction motors
Other sub assembly, such as FDR Assembly (spool wound), main terminal box assembly and GDS transmitter and exciter field power supply assembly
Does layout, fabrication and assembly of conduit and piping
Arc weld assemblies and sub-assemblies
Set up and operate balance stand, large and Static
Engraves and places name plates and green tags equipment
Works in other areas of the Assembly Team skills matrix, may prepare and paint product, procure lumber, shipping cartons, shipping supplies and tools. May prepare and package shipments in boxes, skids/crates
Completes necessary QA/Customer documentation
Lift and move materials using forklift, pallet jack, overhead crane or jib crane
Demonstrates a commitment to Continuous Improvement by identifying opportunities in day-to-day work
Performs to ISO 9001 Quality Standards and abides to OSHA and EPA regulations
Minimum Education Required
High School degree or equivalent
Minimum Experience Required
Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing experience preferred.
Strong mechanical aptitude.
Automotive experience is s plus.
Ability to be certified in overhead and Jib crane operation and forklift operation.
Ability to effectively communicate and work in small teams to assemble product.
Must have steel toes shoes and can be reimbursed with receipt on first pay check. Safety glasses will be provided unless you want to use your own.
Must be US Citizen, or Green Card Holder.
Must be local to the MN area. Sorry, no relocations.
