Schedule: Full time Shift: Day (United States of America) Address: 601 E Rollins St City: Orlando State: Florida Postal Code: 32803 Job Description:

  • Located at 601 East Rollin Street, Orlando, FL 32803 Participates in industry-sponsored, government-funded, and investigator-initiated research projects, contributing subject matter expertise and technical leadership.

  • Analyzes and interprets research data, working closely with biostatisticians, research staff, and interdisciplinary collaborators.

  • Prepares manuscripts, abstracts, study reports, and scholarly presentations to communicate research findings within and beyond the institution.

  • Supports laboratory and clinical research efforts by guiding data collection, tissue or biospecimen handling, and core lab coordination.

  • Conducts tissue, biospecimen, and imaging analyses using relevant techniques such as biochemistry, omics platforms, microscopy, or spectroscopy.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Highly proficient in one or more skill sets that are imperative for performing the duties required for each Research Scientist positions (eg., cell culture, “wet lab” procedures, bioinformatics, imaging, programming, data analysis) [Required]
  • Knowledge of the development and execution of basic, translational and clinical research protocols [Required]
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements pertaining to clinical/medical research [Required]
  • Knowledge or experience in investigator initiated research in a translational / clinical - research setting that is directly applicable to the duties/responsibilities of the specific Research Scientist position. [Preferred]

Education:

  • Master's phd, md, and/or equivalent graduate degree in biomedical sciences or related field [Required]

Field of Study:

  • PhD, MD, and/or equivalent graduate degree in biomedical sciences or related field

Work Experience:

  • 3+ of experience after conferral of phd, md, and/or equivalent graduate degree [Required]
  • Established competency in research as evidenced by published peer-reviewed research [Required]
  • Established history of independent biomedical research in academia, government labs, or industry that is complemetary to the focus of the specific Research Scientist role. [Preferred]

Pay Range:

$92,227.20 - $171,537.60 Background Screening Requirement (Florida Law)

Certain positions are subject to Florida Level 2 background screening, including fingerprinting, as required by state law.
