We are looking for a driven and curious Onsite Planner / Scheduler in Columbus OH to become part of our talented team at Jacobs. As a key member of our Jacobs support team, you’ll be interacting with engineering and construction to understand and communicate issues and conflicts that impact Program schedules.

To be successful in this role, you'll have the ability to work onsite with our client 5 days a week in Columbus OH.

You’ll also analyze contractors’ CPM schedules, perform technical schedule reviews, variance reports, recommend workarounds and schedule improvements and perform both Technical Schedule Reviews and Time Impact Analyses.

We’ll lean on you to serve as a scheduling subject matter expert for client interactions, representing Jacobs with professionalism and technical expertise. This role requires the ability to build, maintain, and enhance client relationships while delivering high-quality scheduling services and support.

  • At least 6 years of Planning / Scheduling experience.

  • Degree in a related field (OR) related work experience in lieu of education.

  • Ability to work onsite with our client 5 days a week.

  • Demonstrated experience developing, and analyzing schedules for large-scale, complex, multi-disciplinary projects.

  • Experience in at least one of the following sectors:

  • Vertical Construction

  • Advanced facilities

  • Biopharma

  • Oil and Gas

  • Power Utilities

  • Nuclear

  • Infrastructure

  • Transportation

  • Water Treatment

  • Constructability and value engineering analysis experience related to schedules.

  • Claims analysis, change order, and time impact analysis experience.

  • Familiarity with establishing and maintaining schedule baselines, logic integrity, and change control processes.

  • Deep understanding of critical path analysis, float management, and delay analysis methodologies (TIA, as-planned vs as-built, windows analysis).

  • Experience with Integrated Master Project and Program schedules.

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Experience applying DCMA 14-point checks, GAO/DOE schedule best practices, or similar validation frameworks

•Familiarity with AACE recommended practices (e.g., 29R-03, 22R-10)

•Exposure to Monte Carlo risk analysis tools (Acumen Deltek Fuse, Primavera Risk Analysis, Safran, etc.)

  • Ability to develop cost / schedule analysis presentations both graphically, written, and verbally.

  • Ability to develop and customize schedule reports, dashboards within programs such as PowerBI, and analyses to address the unique needs of clients and project stakeholders.

  • Experience with data modeling, KPI development, and automated reporting dashboards.

  • Excellent communication skills and understanding of technical terminology.

  • A good business acumen and a desire to get involved in other aspects of our business (project oversight, business development etc.).

  • Proven planning & scheduling thinking and approach.

  • Ability to perform forensic schedule analysis and dispute resolution support.

  • Primavera (P6) experience, including resource and cost loading, generating Earned Value reports as well as graphic and tabular progress reports.

  • Good working knowledge of MS Excel: Table (Vlookup, Index, Filtering, Data manipulation & summarization) and Excel Functions.

  • Experience with EVM (Earned Value Management).

  • Thorough understanding of building construction, timelines, and practices.
