Job Description

  • Develop, test and install control software and hardware for a wide range of the company operated manufacturing, air management, storage, and transportation equipment;

  • Analyze equipment operations data to enhance efficiency, reduce downtime and improve product yield;

  • Provide technical support, diagnosis and repair for automated machinery to ensure uninterrupted supply of steam and air;

  • Program, monitor, maintain, and manage operations of screw compressors, dryers and main filters, addressing malfunctions and programming errors, as needed;

  • Program, monitor and manage flake ice production cycles;

  • Perform diagnostics of Wecon controllers and hopper filling sensors;

  • Input data and necessary edits for complex recipes in the PLC memory;

  • Maintain efficient operations of the company’s safety systems;

  • Program, calibrate, monitor, and maintain uninterrupted operations of strain gauge platforms, scaling systems, and water supply solenoid valves;

  • Diagnose data bus errors, modify program code for changing product format purposes;

  • Develop graphic prompts for equipment operators to ensure proper utilization of the company’s resources and operation safety;

  • Fine-tune PID controllers to maintain adequate temperature and humidity;

  • Program and maintain due operation of the company’s generators;

  • Ensure efficient operations, monitoring, and maintenance of the company’s facility compressor operation, utilizing OmniView system.

  • Manage programming and operation of evaporator defrost cycles to reduce impact of ice handling operations on chamber temperatures.

  • Perform due programming and synchronization of packing and weighing equipment at the exit point from the freezing tunnel;

  • Perform data collection and reporting (SCADA/MES) based on input from Rademaker/Canol and Vimek chambers temperature/humidity statistics for food safety reports (HACCP).

  • In charge of equipment spare parts logistics, including PLC modules, servo amplifiers, SICK/Keyence sensors, SMC pneumatic valves, etc.
