Full job description
The district has continuous recruitment for substitute school nurses.
GENERAL DUTIES:

Provide skilled nursing services as needed and requested
-
Carry out nursing duties to maintain student health, prevention of injury, perform first aid treatment of injuries and illness that occur while students are in school
-
Administer daily medications as prescribed
-
Maintain all health related documentation in School Tool for student encounters
-
Continuous communication with parents/guardians regarding medical concerns and other pertinent information.
-
Notify parents/guardians immediately of illness or injury.
-
Communicate with building nurses regarding any student/staff concerns encountered
-
Possible Full day coverage at any SGF School Health office if needed and available
-
Carry out other tasks and duties as assigned.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES: Deal effectively and professionally with students and staff in the district

Understand and follow oral and written instructions

Neatness, accuracy, and professionalism

Physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position

Communicate effectively with student parents, medical providers and other related services staff
Job Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
- New York State Certification as a Registered Professional Nurse.
