Siemens Electrification & Automation is launching a new manufacturing facility in Knightdale, NC, producing integrated electrical skid assemblies for data centers, utility, renewable energy, and industrial customers.

We are looking for a Quality Control & Testing Manager for our new Skid Assembly facility in Knightdale, NC. Relocation assistance is available.

Overview:

We're looking for a Quality Control & Testing Manager to lead the quality function for this greenfield operation. This is a unique opportunity to establish quality systems, drive ISO certification, and create a culture of operational excellence from the ground up.

Impact:

In this role, you will:

  • Lead the quality and testing organization for a new Siemens manufacturing facility

  • Establish ISO-certified quality systems and scalable processes for the facility

  • Drive continuous improvement, defect prevention, and customer satisfaction

  • Ensure successful testing and validation of integrated solutions

  • Help shape the plant culture, standards, and long-term operational strategy

Responsibilities:

  • Lead daily quality inspection and testing operations

  • Develop and maintain quality management systems, inspections, tool tracking and calibration and testing protocols

  • Prepare the facility for ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 certification

  • Lead internal audits, corrective actions, and root cause investigations

  • Drive quality performance through KPIs, yield improvement, defect reduction, and cost-of-quality initiatives

  • Support production teams through daily Tier and GEMBA engagements

  • Partner with Supplier Quality to improve incoming quality and supplier performance

  • Oversee NCRs, RMAs, and customer quality concerns

  • Build a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence with emphasis on Siemens' Zero Harm safety culture

You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field

  • 5+ years of quality engineering, quality management, testing, or manufacturing quality experience

  • Experience implementing and maintaining quality management systems and ISO standards

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation

  • Understanding of mechanical and electrical manufacturing processes

  • Experience with structured problem-solving and root cause analysis

  • Knowledge of manufacturing measurement and testing equipment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with electrical testing of low-voltage power and control systems (similar or equivalent to NFPA CESCP)

  • Familiarity with switchgear, transformers, protection systems, power distribution, BESS, or renewable energy applications

  • Experience with APQP, AS9145, 8D, Lean, or continuous improvement methodologies, e.g. ASQ certification

  • Software application knowledge including SieOps, Salesforce, SAP, and MS Teams

  • 6S methodology knowledge and certification

  • Experience in metal fabrication, electrical assembly, or industrial manufacturing environments
