Full job description

Pay Range: $13.00–$14.50/hour

Schedule: Part-Time

For more than 143 years, the YMCA has been keeping our communities safe around the water—and we're looking for the next great Lifeguard to join our team.

Whether you're scanning the pool, teaching confidence through your presence, or responding when it matters most, you'll play a vital role in creating a safe, welcoming, and positive environment for every swimmer who walks through our doors. If you're ready to stay alert, make an impact, and help others enjoy the water safely, we'd love to meet you.

Red Cross Lifeguard Certification is required or must be obtained before beginning employment.

Alert and safety-oriented – ability to anticipate what may happen to keep safety the top priority
Decisive and informed – ability to make a decision or enforce a rule and stick with it
Quick-thinking and calm in stressful situations

Attentive – ability to complete work without distraction (i.e., mobile device, earbuds, etc.
