Chief of Staff

Profound is the marketing platform for the age of AI search. The way brands reach people is being rewritten — AI models like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Mode are now the answer layer between companies and their customers. We built the platform marketers use to understand, measure, and win in that world: the analytics, intelligence, and agent automation that turn AI search from a threat into a competitive advantage.

Our customers include 15% of the Fortune 500 like Walmart, Wayfair and U.S. Bank, and innovators like Ramp, MongoDB, and Figma. As our Chief of Staff, you will act as a force multiplier for the leadership team, driving alignment, ensuring execution, and creating leverage across the business. This role is for someone who is hungry and has exceptionally high agency. You should thrive on ambiguity, take ownership, and know how to create value without waiting for direction. No task is too big or too small.

What you’ll do

• Partner with the CEO and leadership team to prioritize, execute, and track progress on the highest-impact strategic initiatives across the company

• Streamline decision-making, manage leadership cadences, and ensure follow-through on commitments to create leverage for leadership

• Work cross-functionally across Product, Engineering, Growth, and Customer Success to close gaps, accelerate progress, and unlock new opportunities

• Build trust and alignment across teams to enable collaboration without relying on formal reporting lines

• Step into ambiguous, high-priority efforts such as launching new processes, tackling operational bottlenecks, or testing new growth levers

• Provide strategic input, surface insights, and help shape the future direction of Profound

Who you are

• Hungry and high-agency operator, ambitious, driven, and proactive, seeing gaps and filling them without waiting for permission

• Experienced owner with a background as a product manager, founder, or early operator, owning outcomes end to end

• Collaborative leader skilled at influencing and driving alignment across teams without formal authority

• Strategic and tactical, equally comfortable thinking big picture and diving into execution details, with no task too big or too small

• Resilient and resourceful, thriving in ambiguity, adapting quickly, and biasing toward action

Location This is an on-site role based in our Union Square, NYC office, designed for builders who thrive on speed, iteration, and meaningful impact.

For this role, the expected base salary range is $150,000 to $200,000. Profound’s total compensation package is designed to be competitive and includes base salary, equity, and a full range of benefits and perks. Final compensation will depend on factors such as your skills, experience, qualifications, and location, and will be determined during the interview process.
