Full job description

Responsible for maintenance and upkeep of landscape and grounds and equipment at SC Training Sites, Fountain Inn (30 acres), Hodges (30 acres) and Donaldson Center / AASF #2 (Greenville) FMS Shop Greenville. Performs mowing, edging and maintenance of grassed areas and weed control, maintenance of shrub beds, pruning shrubbery, clipping and trimming trees and shrubs. Operates necessary equipment and tools. Perform maintenance of roads and grounds that includes the operations of small and heavy equipment, to include agricultural tractors, industrial lawn mowers, weed eaters, chainsaws, edgers, trimmers, blowers, and other landscaping equipment as needed. Performs preventive maintenance and minor repairs to vehicles and equipment. Transport and haul equipment to perform daily job functions.A high school diploma and trades experience that is directly related to the area of employment.Must possess a valid South Carolina Driver’s license. Must be able to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, and stand for long periods. Must be able to climb and work form ladders, stairs, and scaffolding. Must have the ability to lift and carry up to 50/75 lbs. Must be able to work in confined spaces; hot, hazardous, and noisy locations; and in adverse weather conditions. Position requires participation in the on-call program and to work after hours, as on call technician. A resume will not be accepted in lieu of an online South Carolina State Employment Application.
