Overview:

Sentara Community Care Center Berkley in Norfolk, VA is seeking a Full-time Senior Medical Assistant to join their team.

Hours

  • Full time, 40 hours per week
  • Monday and Tuesday – 8am – 5pm, Wed and Thurs – 8am – 6pm, Fri – 8am – 2pm
  • Occasional Community Events ( Saturday/Sunday participation required)

Overview

Perform patient care related tasks and procedures based on training, education, and competency evaluation, and as delegated or assigned by and/or under the direction/supervision of the Physician, Nurse Practitioner (NP)/Physician Assistant (PA), Registered Nurse (RN), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Perform administrative duties, as appropriate.

Education

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)

Certification/Licensure

  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), or
  • Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or
  • Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), or
  • EMT Basic Certification (EMT).

Experience

  • Patient Care experience of 3 years (Required)
