Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care under the supervision of physicians and registered nurses.

  • Assess patients, monitor and record vital signs, and report changes in condition.

  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.

  • Assist with wound care, dressings, and other nursing procedures.

  • Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).

  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to implement individualized patient care plans.

  • Educate patients and families on medications, treatments, and post-care instructions.

  • Follow infection control, safety, and emergency response protocols.

  • Comply with facility policies, regulatory requirements, and quality standards.

  • Maintain all required certifications, training, and employment-related documentation.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited educational institution

  • A degree from an accredited school of Nursing

  • An active, current LPN license in applicable state or reciprocation and must be in good standing

  • 1+ years’ full-time LPN experience in a correctional setting

  • BLS through American Heart Association or equivalent
