A Snapshot of Your Day
As a CNC Grinder & Broaching Operator, you will be responsible for the precision machining of complex parts and components using advanced CNC grinding and broaching equipment. You will ensure that all manufacturing processes adhere to strict engineering tolerances while maintaining a safe and efficient production environment. Your role involves the continuous monitoring of equipment performance, ensuring that every product meets the highest quality standards and production deadlines.
Working with minimal supervision, you will manage your own workflow, including setting up machines, selecting appropriate tools, and making necessary adjustments to maintain optimal performance.
How You’ll Make an Impact

Set up and operate high-precision machinery, including Mägerle and Gleason profile grinders, as well as Detroit Chain, LaPointe, and Forst CNC broaching equipment.

Manage tool setting, tool offsets, and cutter compensation; monitor tool feed, speed, and wear to maintain part integrity.

Evaluate chip development and coolant flow to optimize the machining environment.

Utilize precision gauges and measuring instruments to verify work against complex technical drawings and specifications.

Set up and configure specialized tooling to high-accuracy requirements.

Safely move components using forklifts and cranes in accordance with critical lift protocols.

Troubleshoot machine performance issues and adjust parameters for optimal output.

Maintain high accuracies and tolerances in tool setup while adhering to all guarding and PPE requirements.
What You Bring
-
6+ years of professional CNC Milling, Drilling, and/or Grinding experience is required.

High School Diploma or GED required.
-
Proven experience with Siemens or FANUC controls.

Advanced ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and follow intricate work instructions.

Ability to obtain and maintain Forklift and Critical Lift Crane certifications.

Ability to obtain an ACT® WorkKeys® National Career Readiness Certificate (Silver Level or higher) as part of the pre-hire assessment. Siemens Energy will assist in scheduling the test upon shortlisting.

Strong knowledge in metrology for complex measurements and calculations.

Ability to manually lift up to 50 lbs for short durations, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Ability to pass standard hearing, vision, and pulmonary function tests; ability to work overtime as required.
