City/State Virginia Beach, VA Work Shift First (Days) Overview: Sentara Medical Group is currently offering a Sign on Bonus for qualified Medical Assistants!

Qualified New Grads are eligible for a bonus. Must be either a CMA, CCMA, RMA, or EMT-Basic.

This is a full-time Float Pool position. Primary work is in Elizabeth City, Moyock, and Edenton, North Carolina.

May require travel to Virginia Beach or Chesapeake.

Standard Working Hours: Monday through Friday-8,10, or 12-hour shifts

Differential pay is provided for the travel and flexibility that is needed for this role.

Overview

Perform patient care and administrative/clerical related tasks and procedures based on training, education, and competency evaluations, and as delegated by and under the direction/supervision of the Physician, Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant (NP/PA), Registered Nurse (RN), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Education

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (Preferred)

Certification/Licensure

  • Active CMA, CCMA, RMA, or NREMT-Basic (Required)
  • BLS is required within 90 days of hire.

Experience

  • 1 year of clinical or administrative experience
  • Phlebotomy experience (Preferred)

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $21.69 - $32.14 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
