Overview:
Sentara Medical Group is currently hiring Qualified Medical Assistants-Urgent Care Float Pool!
Must be either a CMA, CCMA, RMA, or EMT-Basic.
This is a full-time Float Pool position. This position will cover Urgent Care Locations in Virginia Beach and Norfolk. May require travel to Elizabeth City.
Standard Working Hours: Swing Shift 8a-8p (Includes every other weekend and 3 of 6 Holidays). Will work 12, 8, and 6-hour increments-80 hours bi-weekly.
Differential pay is provided for the travel and flexibility that is needed for this role.
Overview
Perform patient care and administrative/clerical related tasks and procedures based on training, education, and competency evaluations, and as delegated by and under the direction/supervision of the Physician, Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant (NP/PA), Registered Nurse (RN), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Education
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (Preferred)
Certification/Licensure
- Active CMA, CCMA, RMA, or NREMT-Basic (Required)
- BLS is required within 90 days of hire.
Experience
- 1 year of clinical or administrative experience
- Phlebotomy experience (Preferred)
