Position Overview
As a Principal, you’ll lead engagements that help the world’s top biopharma companies make critical commercial decisions. You’ll guide teams, shape strategy, and deliver work that drives real impact-from market opportunity assessments to competitive positioning and product commercialization.
You’ll be a trusted partner to clients and a key contributor to our practice’s growth-scoping new opportunities, building relationships, and helping shape the future of our consulting offering.
Responsibilities

Be responsible for balancing project management, project delivery, and business development responsibilities

Serve as a strategy and thought partner to clients and senior officers of the firm

Utilize IxI technology products and client provided information to develop conclusions and recommendations (written and verbal)

Work with senior members of the team to scope and develop proposals for new projects

Engage in practice planning discussions, including practice strategy and marketing
-
Analyze research and data to uncover insights and build smart, usable recommendations
-
Craft compelling, client-ready presentations that tell clear, powerful stories

Collaborate across disciplines - working with creatives, behavioral scientists, and technologists

Contribute to business development by building proposals and nurturing client relationships

Help shape our practice by engaging in strategic planning and marketing initiatives
Qualifications
-
7-8 years of life sciences consulting experience, ideally at a top consulting firm or life sciences data organization

BA/BS required; MBA or Master’s in a related field preferred

Strong data analyst and synthesis skills-you connect dots others miss

Proven leadership across multiple workstreams and teams

Excellent communication and people management skills

Foreign language skills a plus, but not required

A self-starting, collaborative mindset-you lead with curiosity and clarity

Salary range: $180,000 - $195,000 base plus bonus eligible
BGBx is headquartered in New York City, and the salary range listed reflects the expected base compensation for this role in the New York metropolitan area. This position may be performed remotely within the United States. For candidates located outside the New York City area, compensation will be adjusted to reflect the applicable market for the employee’s primary work location. Final compensation will be determined based on geographic location, experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
