Salary Range: $62,400.00 To $83,200.00 Annually

Pay: $1,200.00 - $1,600.00 per week

Job description:

Job Summary:

  • This person must have a Class A CDL without Automatic Transmission Restriction and be able to pass a DOT physical including a drug test.

  • This person must have basic skills in math, reading and writing. Basic math skills include addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

  • This person also will have a great amount of customer contact and therefore should have or be able to attain sales skills.

Schedule: 2am-6am start some Saturday deliveries. No overnight travel.

$1200/week; OT eligible.

Primary Duties:

The Route Driver shall be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

  • Drives truck over established route to deliver and sell products or render services of the dairy industry to customer’s place of business.

  • Must follow all Department of Transportation regulations including E-log’s.

  • Makes change, and records transactions on customer receipt.

  • Records sales or deliveries information on daily sales or delivery record.

  • Listens to and resolves service complaints.

  • Be required to climb, crawl and walk in an upright as well as a bent position to facilitate the following:

  • Load and unload product at destination

  • Collect or pick up empty containers or rejected or unsold merchandise

  • The route driver will have to stack and unstack items weighing 50 pounds from a height of approximately seven feet to the ground and back continually as well as drag stacks of milk weighing approximately 240 pounds, throughout the shift.

  • Load and unload truck and carry merchandise.

  • Will be required to work in very hot (100°+) and very cool (less than 32°) environments throughout the year.

  • Will also be required to work outside most of the time regardless of the conditions.

  • The successful candidate must keep the inside of the truck clean, perform routine Inspections on truck and work and drive in a safe, courteous and efficient manner.

Qualifications:

  • Must have a Class A commercial driver’s license

  • Minimum Age: 21, as per Federal D.O.T. regulations

  • Must be able to pass a D.O.T. Physical and Drug Screen

  • Experience: Past route experience and a good driving record preferred

Communication Requirements:

  • Must possess good communication skills and customer service skills.

Education and/or Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
