Job Title: Mechanical Technician

Job Description

Serve as a technical expert for mechanical systems on prototype platforms, ensuring operational efficiency and reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Perform service, assembly, and maintenance on all mechanical systems, addressing issues promptly.

  • Maintain a systematic approach to identifying symptoms, determining exact issues, and moving to correct these issues in a way that is able to be documented and repeated.

  • Provide input to service and maintenance documentation following standard processes, contributing to accurate and effective materials for customer use.

Essential Skills

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in mechanical systems, working with diesel engines

  • Experience working on any type of vehicle, including but not limited to cars, trucks, buses, airplanes, boats, etc.

  • Proficiency in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing complex mechanical systems.

  • Familiarity with technical documentation and reporting standards.

  • Ability to perform in high-tempo environments, balancing multiple priorities efficiently.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with customers and technical teams.

  • A hands-on, problem-solving approach with the ability to adapt to dynamic operational environments.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.

  • Experience with assembly, hand tools, power tools, marine engines, diesel engines, blueprints, soldering, production, mechanical assembly, and schematics.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Baltimore, MD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
