Registered Nurse (RN) PACU –Taos, NM.

Travel Pay : $23.48/ hour

Travel Rate (based on 36 hours): Hrly $23.48, Stipend (Lodging $896.00 + M&I $518.00) = $1,414.00,

Total Comp :$2,259.28

Travel Eligibility: Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for Travel Pay.

Shift Details:

13 week assignment 3 12's

Specialty: ASCU/PACU RN

Registered Nurse (RN) PACU Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provides general nursing care to patients.

  • Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques.

  • Prepares equipment and aids physician during treatments and examinations of patients.

  • Observes patient, records significant conditions and reactions, and notifies supervisor or physician of patient's condition and reaction to drugs, treatments, and significant incidents.

  • Takes temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and other vital signs to detect deviations from normal and assess condition of patient.

  • May make beds, bathe, and feed patients.

  • May serve as leader for group of personnel rendering nursing care to number of patients.

  • Additional RN duties given by Supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse

  • Able to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of NM

  • A valid and current BLS card (American Heart Association)

  • Graduate from an accredited school or college of nursing required.

  • Current New Mexico license as a Registered Nurse required.

  • BCLS, ACLS and PALS required.

  • Minimum of one year of comparable experience is required. Critical Care experience preferred.

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

  • Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.

  • Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., .BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test, or other client-specific requirements).
