This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Interested applicants must follow the directions in the "How to Apply" section of this flyer to be considered. There may or may not be actual vacancies filled from this flyer. Notice of Result letters will not be sent to applicants who respond to this flyer. Your resume must demonstrate at least six months of general experience that includes experience in administrative, clerical, technical, or military work that involved protecting property, equipment, data, or materials; or that involved making judgments based on the application of directions, rules, regulations, or laws. Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management website: https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/classification-qualifications/general-schedule-qualification-standards/0000/police-series-0083/ Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will determine shortest and safest routes to and from destinations. You will respond to emergency calls, complaints, and other calls for service during watch. You will perform law enforcement duties at fixed posts such as entry and exit gates throughout the installation. You will warn and/or use force to restrain and apprehend violators. You will issue military citations for violations of laws and regulations. You will monitor unusual situations and conditions through personal or electronic surveillance aids. Security clearance required: Secret

Education In lieu of general experience listed in the Qualifications section, applicants may qualify for the position based on education. Education obtained must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work. To qualify based on education, applicant must: Successfully completed one year of study at an accredited school above the high school level with at least 6 semester hours of study pertinent to police work. OR Possess a combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one-year of experience. The percentage of the required education plus percentage of the required experience equal to one hundred percent. COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Possess a combination of experience and education as described above that equates to 6 months of experience. The percentage of the required education plus the percentage of the required experience equal to 100 percent. SUBSTITUTION OF TRAINING FOR EXPERIENCE NOTE: Successful completion of a Federal, State, county, or municipal police academy or comparable training course that included at least 40 classroom hours of instruction in police department procedures and methods, and local law and regulations, may be substituted for a maximum of 3 months of specialized experience or 6 months of general experience.
