Full job description

Reporting to the Plant Engineering Manager, you will provide project leadership and direction for the successful execution of capital projects at the Oakdale, California manufacturing facility. You will lead one or multiple projects simultaneously depending on project size and complexity, while developing engineering capital project management competencies. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver capital investment projects that align with business strategies, follow established engineering processes, comply with company policies, and maximize asset value.

A Taste Of Your Responsibilities

  • Lead capital projects from concept development through execution and project completion.
  • Partner closely with Operations, Finance, Environment, Health & Safety, and Research, Quality & Innovation teams to successfully deliver projects.
  • Coordinate activities with equipment suppliers, construction contractors, engineering service providers, government agencies, and co-manufacturing partners.
  • Manage project scope, schedule, budget, forecasting, reporting, and overall project performance.
  • Lead small design teams consisting of approximately six to eight engineering professionals, including internal and external resources.
  • Execute projects using structured engineering workflows and project management methodologies.
  • Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with business objectives.
  • Provide technical leadership and support related to manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • Travel to manufacturing facilities, suppliers, vendors, and project sites as needed. Travel may average 30% to 40% and can include domestic and international travel.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and other duties as assigned.

Ingredients Required For Your Success

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Preferably Mechanical) or related field.
  • Two or more years of project management experience leading projects from initiation through completion.
  • Experience managing capital projects within a manufacturing environment.
  • Technical knowledge of manufacturing systems, processes, and equipment.
  • Experience in food manufacturing, food processing, pharmaceutical manufacturing, or a related industry preferred.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of project planning, budgeting, forecasting, and capital execution processes.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • This position is located onsite at the Oakdale, California manufacturing facility.
  • Reliable Transportation to and from Work location.
  • Willingness to work Weekends/Holidays as project requires for completion of tasks

This is a manufacturing environment with large, moving equipment. Noise levels can be high, and temperatures may vary.

Compensation

Pay Range:$64,000-$95,000

The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee’s actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees’ equity. Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
