Full job description
Jo b Summary : The PGW Auto Glass Warehouse Employee is responsible for handling, storing, and distributing automotive glass products while ensuring a safe and efficient work environment. This role includes receiving shipments, organizing inventory, fulfilling orders, and maintaining quality control to prevent damage to fragile products. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and capable of working in a fast-paced warehouse setting.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Receive, inspect, and store incoming shipments of automotive glass and related materials. Accurately pick, pack, and load customer orders . Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment in a safe manner. Conduct quality checks to ensure glass products are free from defects and meet company standards. Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems (WMS) and participate in cycle counts. Follow proper handling and safety procedures to minimize product damage and ensure workplace safety. Assist in loading and unloading trucks, ensuring proper stacking and securing of products. Keep warehouse clean and organized, including sweeping floors, removing debris, and properly storing materials.

Adhere to all company policies, safety guidelines, and OSHA regulations.

Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and drivers to ensure efficient operations.
Qualifications and Skills

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Previous warehouse or logistics experience, especially handling fragile materials, is a plus.

Ability to operate or willingness to learn how to use forklifts and warehouse equipment.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inventory management and order fulfillment.

Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and shipping/receiving documentation.

Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 75 pounds regularly.

Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with colleagues and supervisors.
Commitment to workplace safety and ability to follow established procedures. Reliable attendance and punctuality.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements

Warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperatures and weather conditions.

Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift.

Use of safety PPE such as gloves, safety glasses, and steel-toe boots as required .

Handling fragile automotive glass products requiring precision and caution.

Overtime and weekend shifts may be required based on business needs.
