About Us

Rho is the modern banking platform built for startups. Open accounts in minutes, issue cards, manage expenses, pay bills, and close the books – all in one connected platform backed by real human support.

The Role Rho is hiring a VP of Product . Reporting into our CEO, you’ll partner with our design and engineering teams to set Rho's product direction and own its execution. You'll lead a product team, but you'll also be in the weeds: close enough to the work and close enough to the customer that your judgment is earned, not inherited from a dashboard. You'll know what founders need before they ask for it, because you've built the intuition that comes from proximity, not process.

How products get built is fundamentally changing. The line between thinking about something and making it real is collapsing. The best product leaders right now aren't just setting strategy and reviewing work. They're in the build, shaping the product with their hands, using every tool available to move faster and see further.

Rho is rebuilding the finance stack for the innovation economy. What happens next depends on the quality of decisions we make and the speed at which we make them. An exceptional product team gets us there.

What You'll Do Shape product direction. Own the product vision alongside the CEO and executive team. Translate Rho's company strategy into a product roadmap that's opinionated, well-sequenced, and grounded in what actually matters to customers. Know when to go deep on one bet or test many.

Lead and grow a team of 6 PMs. Enable Rho’s PM function with agency, a spirit of experimentation, and a one-team culture.

Build for founders. Develop a deep, almost unfair understanding of how founders and early-stage companies think about money, time, and risk. See around corners. Design the product for the workflow they don't know they want yet — the desire path, not just the paved one.

Get in the weeds. This isn't a role where you review mocks on Fridays. You're prototyping, pressure-testing, iterating alongside design and engineering. You have opinions about the details. AI is changing what it means to be in the weeds, and you're leaning into that.

Set the tempo. Create pace and urgency without chaos. Define what "fast" means for Rho's product org— how decisions get made, how work moves through the system, how the team stays focused on what matters. Remove friction. Raise the clock speed.

Win with us. This is a company-building role, not just a product role. You'll contribute to decisions that extend well beyond your function— go-to-market, hiring, company strategy. You care about Rho winning, not just Product winning.

Enable the team. Build and lead a product team that punches above its weight. Create clarity so people can move fast. Hire well. Develop strong product thinkers. Make the people around you better at their jobs.

Who You Are You’ve launched 0 to 1 product builds that had meaningful customer impact. You obsess over the details that make something exceptional, and you iterate towards perfect.

You've led product at a high-growth startup and you've shipped products that customers love.

You build. You're not above opening a prototype, sketching a flow, or writing a spec yourself. You understand that AI is changing the product development lifecycle, and you're actively working that way, not theorizing about it.

You have deep empathy for founders and the chaos of early-stage companies. You've either been one or spent enough time with them to think like one.

You communicate with clarity and conviction. You can align a room, make a hard call, and bring people along — even when the answer is no.

You have taste . You care about craft. You know that in a banking product, every interaction carries trust, and you hold the team to that standard.

Compensation Our people are our most valuable asset. The salary range for this role is $275,000 - $350,000. Base salary may vary depending on relevant experience, skills, and business needs. In addition to base pay, Rho offers equity, healthcare benefits, and paid time off.

At Rho, we believe deeply in diversity and we're committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
