Job Description:

POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT

POSITION: Biology Lab Assistant

POSITION DESCRIPTION : Part-time position based on semester system. This position is for the Fall 2026 semester beginning on, August 17, 2026 and ending December 14, 2026 . Lab assistant responsibilities centered on assisting the biology and chemistry faculty with laboratory preparation and activities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Successful completion of all of the following sequence of classes with a minimum grade of “B” in the laboratory portion of the course
  • BIOL2113/BIOL2113L (Anatomy & Physiology 1), BIOL2114/BIOL2114L (Anatomy & Physiology 2), and BIOL2117/BIOL2117L (Microbiology) or their equivalent
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and computer literacy skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Biology or Chemistry

SALARY/BENEFITS : Salary, $12/hour – with a maximum of 26 hours per week. There are no State Benefits.

Please be aware that all Chattahoochee Technical College employees must be paid by DIRECT DEPOSIT unless exempted by the State Accounting Office based on “hardship” evidence provided by the employee.
