Employment Specialist II
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm (with occasional evening/weekend flexibility)
Starting Pay: $20.44–$25.44 per hour (DOE)

As an Employment Specialist II, you will coach, train, and support a caseload of clients, collaborate with employers and community partners, and serve as a positive, skillful representative of our organization. What You’ll Do
Perform employment activities for a caseload of 30+ clients to include, but not limited to, receiving referrals and skill-training through employment assessment, placement and follow-a-long.
Complete and maintain client paperwork and billing as required by all licensing and/or accreditation regulations and agency policies.
Develop and maintain relationships including a wide range of audiences with varied interests such as clients, client team members, funding sources, employers and community members.
Facilitate job skills training programs.
Maintain a professional network that is knowledgeable about multiple industries.
Prioritize competing relationships to best meet all customer needs.
Utilize technology and processes to ensure timely communication.
Serve as an ambassador for MRCI in community functions, presentations and involvement.
Work independently and/or remotely and do so while collaborating with a team and meeting personal goals.
Transport clients in business vehicle.
Minimum Education Required
What You’ll Need to Succeed
Education/Experience
A High School diploma/equivalent or an Associate’s degree, plus two years of related work experience OR;
A Bachelor’s Degree in a field related to service provision, plus a minimum of one year of related work experience working with persons with developmental disabilities or related conditions.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Preference for individuals with a proven successful history in group facilitation as well as one-one-training facilitation.
Self-management skills.
Practical understanding of business acumen.
Sales or customer service experience preferred.
Be sensitive to the needs of individuals with disabilities.
Must possess excellent communication skills both with clients and customers.
Excellent problem solving skills.
Demonstrate proficiency in computer based office software.
Must live within 25 miles of designated service area (Shakopee).
Must have a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation and the ability to drive.
Must pass a background check through the Department of Human Services.
