End Date: 06/01/2027

Work hours: 40 hours/week, Monday - Saturday, 7 hours/day (5 hours/day on Saturday), 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Job Duties:

General farm worker responsibilities will be to apply pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizer to crops and livestock; plant, maintain, and harvest food crops; and tend livestock. Repair farm buildings and fences, works with irrigation repairs and cleans and maintains barns.

These hours could increase or decrease based on weather conditions, crop delay, pests or disease, crop yield, available labor, and or productivity.

Minimum Education Required

None. No High School Diploma or GED required.

Minimum Experience Required

Worker must have one month of experience with general farming.

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Job will require exposure to extreme temperatures.

Extensive pushing and pulling is required.

Extensive walking or sitting is required.

Frequent stooping or bending over is required.

Repetitive movements are required.

Additional Compensation

A worker can earn bonuses and/or wage increases based on performance and length of service with the employer, this benefit is at the sole discretion of the employer.

As required for all workers in Minnesota, hours worked in excess of 48 hours in a work week will be paid at the rate of 1.5 times the regular rate of pay.

Job Benefits

EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $16.78 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts (Updated 04/07/2026). Required work-related tools and supplies provided free of charge by employer.

Effective Jan 1, 2024, per MN State Statute, an employee will earn one hour of paid sick and safe time for every 30 hours worked, up to at least 48 hours of accrued Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST) per year, provided the employee works a minimum of 80 hours in a calendar year.
