Description of Duties:

The full-time Research Assistant is expected to:

  • Perform in vitro and in vivo electrophysiology experiments.

  • Perform molecular biology and imaging experiments including but not limited to: stereotaxic surgery, immuno-labeling, Western blot, perfusions, dissections, laser scanning microscopy.

  • Work together and train undergraduate students in the lab.

  • Participate actively in lab meetings and planning sessions and read scientific literature.

Job Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, physics, or a related field, from a college or university accredited by a U.S. Department of Education or internationally recognized accrediting organization.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master of Science degree from a college or university accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or an internationally recognized accrediting organization or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

  • PhD degree from a college or university accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or an internationally recognized accrediting organization or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

  • Previous neuroscience training.

Additional Information:

Salary: $40,000 - $50,000 DOE
