We're in the midst of the greatest industrial revolution of our time. The demand for AI compute is boundless, and power is a bottleneck. We're solving that — with an energy-first approach that makes AI infrastructure better for the world and faster for the people innovating with AI.

We're looking for problem-solving, opportunity-finding teammates with a sense of urgency, who believe in the scale of our ambition and thrive on a path not fully paved — people who want to grow their careers alongside a team of experts across energy, manufacturing, data center construction, and cloud services.

If you want to do the most meaningful work of your career, help our customers and partners advance their AI strategies, and be part of a high-performing team that believes in each other, come build with us at Crusoe.

About This Role:

As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer at Crusoe, you will be instrumental in bridging the gap between our engineering designs and their successful execution in a fast-paced production environment. This is a crucial role that requires both a strong technical aptitude and a strategic vision for optimizing manufacturing processes. You will help the team in interpreting complex engineering documentation and translating it into our manufacturing ecosystem. Your excellent communication skills and hands-on technical skills will be key to driving process efficiency, and ensuring a seamless flow of information between all cross-functional teams.

What You’ll Be Working On:

  • Lead Documentation Interpretation & Translation: Provide guidance and oversight to the team in interpreting complex mechanical and electrical engineering design documentation, including fabrication drawings, schematics, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).

  • Drive Production Data Migration: Lead the effort to translate design engineering documentation into production-specific information, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the migration of data to manufacturing systems.

  • Strategic Communication & Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact for planning deliverables, ensuring effective and timely communication with purchasing, production, inventory, and project management teams.

  • Process & Systems Ownership: Drive the creation and maintenance of Manufacturing Processes and Work Instructions, ensuring they are aligned with Engineering's Document Control Administration and company standards.

  • Continuous Improvement Leadership: Spearhead initiatives to improve First Pass Yield (FPY) and Overall Process Effectiveness (OPE) within manufacturing, using data-driven insights to guide improvement projects.

  • Supplier Collaboration: Oversee collaboration with outside suppliers and vendors to secure quotes and proposals, providing technical support to engineering and procurement teams.

  • ERP Data Management & Optimization: Ensure the accuracy of planning deliverables and manufacturing data within the company’s ERP software and identify opportunities to optimize data management workflows.

  • Tooling & Equipment Strategy: Lead the identification of standard or special gauging and specialized equipment required for production processes.

  • Cross-Functional Teamwork: Serve as the manufacturing engineering representative in cross-functional team meetings with Engineering, Production, and Procurement to align on project timelines and resolve technical issues.

What You’ll Bring to the Team:

  • Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or related field, with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role and demonstrated leadership responsibilities.

  • Manufacturing Process Expertise: Proven experience with manufacturing process design, implementing process improvements, and leading Design for Manufacturability and Assembly (DFMA) initiatives.

  • Technical Knowledge: Extensive experience with manufacturing processes, mechanical machinery, power electronics, or industrial controls.

  • Documentation Proficiency: Experience reading and interpreting fabrication drawings, electrical schematics, and Engineering Bills of Materials.

  • Operational Acumen: Familiarity with sourcing, purchasing practices, production management, and advanced continuous improvement methodologies.

  • Software Proficiency: Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software, SolidWorks, and typical productivity software (Google Suite, Microsoft Office).

  • Adaptability and Leadership: The ability to lead effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment across multiple sites with a geographically dispersed team.

  • Safety and Compliance: This position is designated a safety-sensitive position and/or is located in a safety-sensitive facility. Drug and alcohol program participation is required.

Bonus Points:

  • Prior experience in a lead or supervisory role.

  • Lean manufacturing and/or SSBB certifications.

  • Expertise in SolidWorks or similar CAD software.

  • Experience with a formal quality management system.
