Awake Overnight Shifts - 30 Hour Schedule

New Hire Rate: $20.00

SUMMARY: The Direct Support Professionalassists in providing self-care training, therapeutic treatments, and assistance in daily living to developmentally disabled individuals attending the agency's respite facility.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:High school diploma or GED.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Must stay awake and not place themselves in a compromising position/place that is conducive to sleep; Continuously assess the status of the physical building and the individuals throughout the duration of the shift.

• Provides individualized care as outlined in the individuals Life Plan, or ISP.

• Supports the residents to ensure their safety and well being.

• Observes, documents and communicates pertinent information such as behaviors, nursing, nutrition, clinical issues, etc., to facilitate assessment and development of treatment goals.

About the ARC’S Residence Program: In the residential program, the most caring people are the trained staff who provide 24-hour supervision, care, and guidance to residents. They assist with personal care needs, cleaning, cooking, medications, and activities.
