Minster, OH, USA | Weld Shop | Full Time
Apprentice/Journeyman Welders - 1st Shift
Nidec Minster Corporation, a leader in the design and manufacture of metal forming equipment and a supplier of machining, fabrication, assembly, logistics, and foundry and aftermarket services has an opening for experienced welders.
Experienced Minster Welders are expected to be knowledgeable, productive and efficient in all duties that are core competencies to the welding function. A Welder must be able to layout, fit, and assemble metal components to fabricate structural forms using knowledge of welding techniques, metallurgy, and engineering requirements. Must possess a thorough understanding of the equipment, settings, electricity flow, gas flow, etc. of the welding equipment used in the various welding processes.
Welder Job Responsibilities:

The ability to read blueprints

Layout, fit and assemble metal components with strong fabrication skills

Generate welds in the flat and horizontal position. (A welding test will be part of the selection process)

Proficiency in the areas of stick, MIG, and flux cored welding processes is desirable.

Other duties include assembly operations, CNC plate burning, burn and bevel operation, material handling and miscellaneous equipment operation (saws, drills, shears and brakes)
Welder Qualifications:

High school Graduate or GED

Hobart, JVS or other technical school graduate desirable

Class II Certified AWS welder is desirable

Good communication skills

Must be able to work in collaboration with others
