Job Description

Follow all health, safely, and environmental requirements; Perform cleanup duties; Perform material handling and storage duties; Identify, use, and care of common hand and power tools; Use and care of craft specific tools and equipment; Knowledge and application of craft related mathematics; Knowledge and application of common hitches, Emergency stop signal, Basic crane hand signals, Knot tying (bowline & clove hitch), and use of rigging equipment relevant to craft specific tasks; Knowledge and use of safety standards and best safety practices relevant to rigging, Inspection of rigging equipment and hardware; Perform Layout duties; Construct straight walls; Construct offset walls; Mix/prepare mortar; Construct corbelled walls; Construct masonry pillars; Construct brick arches; Line facilities with ramming mixes (refractory); Set lintels; Perform brick paving; Lay brick in specified pattern; Lay concrete block; Construct concrete block pillars and pilasters; Set terra cotta or glazed tile; Apply block and bulk insulation; Lay acid proof brick; Review construction drawings and blueprints for specifications to determine work requirements.

Job Requirements

Mental Demands : Understand and carry out oral instructions; Read and carry out written instructions to perform work tasks; Work at varying heights; Recognize, avoid, and report safety hazards; Assemble and disassemble objects; Operate equipment and power tools
