Full job description

Description

Operations is at the heart of Amazon's business. We are known for our speed, accuracy, and exceptional service. Our buildings deliver tens of thousands of products to hundreds of countries worldwide, every day. The Reliability & Maintenance Engineering (RME) team are the business partners that work tirelessly behind the scenes to make it happen. We drive continuous improvement and maintain all of the robotics and material handling equipment (MHE) to ensure our customers are met with the Amazon smile. Come join us on our journey!

About the Role:

In this high-impact role, you will directly shape how 33,000+ RME Amazonians are recruited, developed, and retained. Your workforce strategies will unlock organizational potential, close critical skill gaps, and fuel the growth of one of Amazon’s most essential teams. You will be the catalyst that connects data-driven insight with human-centered solutions—bridging the gap between where RME is today and where it needs to be tomorrow.

As the Business Developer III, Strategic Workforce Development, your workforce strategies will directly shape how talent is identified, developed, and retained across a global RME network. You’ll collaborate side-by-side with RME senior leaders, HR, Operations, and Finance to co-create people strategies that drive real business outcomes. You’ll build executive-level analytics frameworks and decision-support tools that empower leaders to act with confidence and clarity. Thrive in Amazon’s customer-obsessed, metrics-driven environment, where your ideas and innovations drive lasting change across the organization.

Key job responsibilities

  • You will work with key stakeholders to define and activate RME's Employee Value Proposition (EVP), leading both internal launches to leaders and employees and external campaigns to potential candidates, ensuring consistent messaging across all channels.

  • You will design visually compelling recruiting collateral and digital materials, including employee testimonials and success stories, that highlight RME's culture, benefits, and career growth opportunities.

  • You will develop and manage targeted social media campaigns across relevant platforms, leveraging engaging content, strategic hashtags, and paid advertising (e.g., LinkedIn) to reach key professional demographics.

  • You will conduct training sessions and provide resources (talking points, FAQs, examples) to equip leaders with the tools to effectively communicate the EVP during interviews, team meetings, and candidate interactions.

  • You will establish KPIs to measure recruitment effectiveness, use analytics tools to track campaign performance, and continuously refine strategies based on data, feedback, and evolving market trends.

A day in the life

The Careers Marketing Business Developer plays a critical role in shaping and amplifying RME's employer brand. In this position, you will define and activate RME's Employee Value Proposition (EVP), develop compelling recruiting collateral, and lead strategic social media campaigns to attract top talent. You will partner closely with leaders across the organization to ensure consistent, authentic messaging that sets RME apart in a competitive talent market.

About the team

The Reliability & Engineering Maintenance (RME) Strategic Workforce Development Team attracts, educates, and develops our workforce.
