This community-based teaching hospital is a prominent figure in the communities in and around Cuyahoga County known for its quality patient-centered care and active participation in community programs, events, and volunteer activities. The 41-bed unit at Cleveland Clinic South Pointe Hospital is divided into two specialized areas that operate together as one cohesive unit: a 19-bed Medical-Surgical (MS) unit and a 22-bed Observation (Obs) unit. The MS unit provides caregivers with broad nursing experience by caring for patients with conditions such as pneumonia, congestive heart failure, infectious diseases, asthma, and COPD exacerbations, helping nurses build well-rounded clinical skills and knowledge. The Observation Unit offers a fast-paced environment focused on safe, high-quality patient care for adults requiring expedited evaluation and close monitoring for less than 24 hours. Serving a mix of ER and inpatient populations, the Observation unit requires nurses to be highly adaptable with strong assessment skills, as patient conditions can change rapidly. In this role, you will interact directly with patients, families and visitors, offering the opportunity to enhance their experience and supply healthcare education as needed.
