Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) - School-Based | 2026-2027 School Year - San Lorenzo, CA

Multiple School Locations | Elementary & High School Settings

Start Date: August 31, 2026

Schedule: Approximately 36.25 Hours per Week

Contract Length: 42 Weeks

Position Overview

We are seeking dedicated and qualified Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to join school-based teams for the 2026-2027 school year. In this role, you will provide speech and language evaluations, develop treatment plans, deliver direct therapy services, and maintain documentation in accordance with student IEPs and established plans of care.

These positions support students in elementary and high school settings, with school assignments varying throughout the district.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct speech and language evaluations and assessments.

  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on student needs.

  • Provide direct speech-language therapy services in accordance with IEP goals.

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluations, treatment, and progress.

  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams.

  • Monitor student progress and recommend modifications to services as needed.

  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, local, and professional practice standards.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) License in the state of assignment.

  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred and may be required by state or contract.

  • Compliance with all applicable professional standards of practice.

  • Current CPR certification, if applicable.

  • TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray, if applicable.

  • Current health certificate, if required by state regulations or contract.

  • Ability to meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements.

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

Assignment Details

  • Setting: School-Based Speech-Language Pathology

  • Student Population: Elementary and High School

  • Classroom Environment: General Education

  • Medical Support Level: Level 1

  • Behavioral Support Level: None

  • Schedule: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM (or similar hours)

  • Interview Required: Yes

  • School Sites: Vary based on district need

Compensation

Local Candidates

  • Up to $100/hour

  • Up to $107/hour for SLPs with 4+ years of experience

Travel Candidates

  • Up to $65.10/hour

  • Up to $73.10/hour for SLPs with 4+ years of experience

  • Qualified travelers may be eligible for tax-free housing and meal stipends
