Job Description
Performs medical laboratory testing in a CAP accredited, CLIA-certified laboratory. This position is responsible for the accuracy, timely reporting and integrity of laboratory results.

Shift: 530pm-6am Friday, Saturday and Sunday

Has working knowledge of and performs testing in accordance with laboratory's policy, procedures and regulatory standards.

Successful performance in laboratory's external proficiency program.

Organizes and prioritizes multiple technical tasks with maximum efficiency and minimal waste.

Reports laboratory results in the Hospital LIS/EMR, as ordered by providers.

Reviews and approves quality control results to affirm validity of patient results.

Maintains instrumentation and confirms acceptable performance.

Uses education and experience to identify and resolve technical, instrumental and physiological issues that interfere with accurate testing.

Works collaboratively with Manager and Medical Laboratory Scientists and recognizes scenarios that require assistance.
