Job Duties

Start Date: 09/01/2026

End Date: 03/01/2027

Hours: 44 hours/week, Monday - Friday, 8 hours/day, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

(Saturday 4 hours/day, Sunday 0 hours/day)

Job Duties:

Grow, package and ship red and gold potatoes. Employees to help us in the growing and production of the potatoes. Employees must have experience operating large farm equipment such as tractors, trucks, skid loaders and forklifts. Employees must have some mechanical experience to and knowledge of how to use a variety of tools for the repair and maintenance of farm machinery and equipment. Employees will also clean farm equipment.

Employees who are able to communicate in English and have a valid driver's license. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Employer will conduct post hire drug test at no cost to the employees to enforce a drug free workplace. Failing drug test will result in termination. Require 3 months of farm or potato experience.

Additional Compensation

Employer may also, at its sole discretion, offer performance-based incentive bonuses that are not guaranteed and are determined by the employer.

As required for all workers in Minnesota, hours worked in excess of 48 hours in a work week will be paid at the rate of 1.5 times the regular rate of pay.

Job Benefits

EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $16.78 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts (Updated 04/07/2026). Required work-related tools and supplies provided free of charge by employer.

Effective Jan 1, 2024, per MN State Statute, an employee will earn one hour of paid sick and safe time for every 30 hours worked, up to at least 48 hours of accrued Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST) per year, provided the employee works a minimum of 80 hours in a calendar year.
