Description
The Direct Support Professional (DSP) provides support and skills training to people with developmental and intellectual disabilities in a residential setting and within the community.
The village of Saugerties is nestled between the Hudson River and the Catskill Mountains. Arc Apartments is located in the Barclay Heights area of Saugerties and is very close to the center of the village. Arc Apartments is comprised of eight units, two single and six double occupancies. The ladies and gentlemen who live at Arc Apartments take immense pride in their home. They are very active and involved in their community, and enjoy taking part in a variety of activities and local events. If you are looking for a rewarding employment opportunity and to be a part of enriching the lives of these men and women, this is a wonderful place to work.
A high school diploma or GED is desired. Post-high-school education in Human Services is a definite plus. An acceptable NYS driver's license and basic computer knowledge are a must. An informative, paid new hire orientation is provided in a comfortable learning environment. Training will also include Van Certification, SCIP, First Aid/CPR, and Medication Administration certification.
HOURS: As needed
STARTING SALARY: $ 18.26 to $ 20.09 per hour, with additional shift differentials as applicable
