Full job description

Regional Director of Operations

The Regional Director of Operations manages a region of Senior Living Communities.  In this role, you will be responsible for the overall management of assigned communities within your cluster. In addition to overseeing community operations, the Regional Director of Operations is responsible for innovating and implementing processes and procedures to enhance the development of talent and systems in their assigned cluster.     

Responsibilities: 

  • Ensures compliance with all laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures within the communities 

  • Provides training and support to all team members and promotes quality care and independence for residents. Conducts field audits at the communities within the region 

  • Responsible for setting goals and objectives for operations and sales functions within the region 

  • Lead regional team training sessions focusing on operations, sales and marketing.

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of five years of experience in an operations leadership role 

  • Five years of multi-site leadership experience in the senior living industry 

  • Demonstrated, successful operations experience to independent, assisted, Alzheimer’s, CCRC communities or related fields 

  • Must have a valid license to operate an assisted living facility, if mandated by the State in which the community is located 

  • Bachelor Degree 

  • Financial acumen and budget management experience 

  • Exceptional problem solving and time management skills 

  • The ability to travel extensively within the region 

  • Experience with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint 

  • Knowledge of applicable laws, rules, and regulations governing independent living communities 

  • A minimum of three years of sales and marketing experience/leadership in Senior Living or the Hospitality Industry 

  • Possess exceptional communication skills 

  • Exhibit strong organizational capabilities 

  • Demonstrate empathy and good listening skills 

  • Remain flexible and adaptable 

  • Express compassion for residents
