Seeking a Veterinary Technician Supervisor -Signing Bonus Opportunity!

Location: Fredericksburg, Va.

Compensation: The pay range for this position is $31-$32 and hour commensurate with experience.

VCA Chancellor Animal Hospita l is seeking a Veterinary Technician to join and lead as a Technician Supervisor full time. VCA Chancellor Animal Hospital joined the VCA family in January 2005 and has been an important part of the community since its beginning. This great relationship with the community has multi- generational families bringing their pets to us where we provide compassionate, professional medical care. We recently passed our AAHA certification and have now been members of that organization for 40 years!

We provide a wide range of services including dentistry, digital dental radiographs, various surgical procedures including spays, neuters and other various soft tissue surgeries. We offer full service digital radiographs and ultrasound capability. We have laser therapy and laser surgery. We also have two Doctors that see exotics!

In the supervisor role, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Directing work flow on the floor

• Assists in the educational development of technicians and their skills

• Help with the interview process for potential new hires

• Technician Scheduling

• Assists in staffing and coverage where needed

• Assists in basic protocol and standard procedure training

• Provide opportunities for staff to gain more firsthand experience

• Mentoring technicians within the department

• Working with department doctors to develop protocols to improve the service

• Ensure that VCA polices, guidelines, and recommendations are implemented by all members of the technical staff.
