Select Specialty Hospital - Palm Beach is a critical illness recovery hospital providing world-class inpatient post-ICU services to chronic, critically ill patients. The CT Technologist prepares patients for diagnostic procedures, operates CT scanners, administers contrast media, and monitors for adverse drug events. This role contributes to providing compassionate, excellent care to patients during vulnerable moments.

Successful candidates bring 2 Years Experience As A Registered Radiologic Technologist, Current State License, and 1 Year Experience As A CT Technologist. Important skills include Patient Positioning, Operate CT Scanner, Administer Contrast Media, Monitor Adverse Drug Events, Perform Routine Quality Assurance, and Identify Basic Malfunctions. Preferred (not required): Facility-Specific Equipment Operation.

Overview

Position: CT Technologist

Location: Palm Beach, FL

Schedule: Per Diem/PRN

Compensation: $41 per hour

Responsibilities

  • Prepare the patient for diagnostic procedures by explaining the process and creating a comfortable environment.

  • Use of proper patient positioning and technical factors to consistently produce quality diagnostic studies.

  • Correctly operate a CT scanner to produce cross-sectional images of desired patient anatomy.

  • Administer contrast media as directed by referring physician.

  • Monitor the patient for any adverse drug events and report accordingly.

  • Perform routine quality assurance on equipment and identify basic malfunctions.

  • Perform clerical duties, as needed, such as answering phones.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years experience as a Registered Radiologic Technologist and hold current state license (as required).

  • At least 1 year experience as a CT Technologist (not including school).

  • Must have ARRT or CMRT certification.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

  • Must be current with Continuing Education in all fields of licensure.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience operating facility-specific equipment desirable.
