Full job description

TECHNICAL PRODUCT MANAGER, LEARNING SCIENCE

Level is a learning technology company dedicated to helping students build real academic and life skills with confidence and joy. We combine proven curriculum principles with world class interactive design to make meaningful practice something students want to come back to, not something they struggle through.

We support what teachers, schools, and parents are already doing by increasing student engagement with high quality, standards aligned practice that reinforces classroom learning. That’s why we’re building:

For students: Rewarding and motivating learning experiences that meet students where they are to build real academic proficiency.

For educators: Tools that fit naturally into instruction and help students stay engaged while reducing teacher workload.

For parents: Activities that help your kid catch up or get ahead, build confidence, and minimize homework battles, whether learning at school or at home.

We are committed to helping every person maximize their potential and live a life of meaning. It’s a difficult problem that requires brilliant people and tremendous effort over time.

If you want to use your skills to make a difference for the world, we're seeking a Technical Product Manager who bridges the science of learning with product innovation. You'll define the vision and strategy for educational products that measurably improve teaching and learning outcomes, grounded in cognitive science, educational research, and data-driven insights.

What You'll Do:

  • Define product vision and roadmap for learning products, aligning technology with educational goals and learning science principles

  • Translate learning science research and user insights into product features that enhance how students learn and teachers teach

  • Lead cross-functional teams (engineering, design, content, research) to build products grounded in evidence-based learning practices

  • Use data analytics and learning metrics to validate hypotheses, measure impact, and guide product decisions

  • Deeply understand educators and students—their needs, workflows, and challenges—and advocate for them throughout the product lifecycle

  • Prioritize features and manage the product backlog with a focus on learning efficacy and user outcomes

What You Bring:

  • Strong product management foundation with experience defining strategy, building roadmaps, and shipping products

  • Deep understanding of learning science, cognitive psychology, or educational research

  • Technical fluency to collaborate effectively with engineering teams working on EdTech solutions

  • Data-driven mindset with experience using analytics to measure learning outcomes and product success

  • Exceptional communication skills to bridge technical teams, educators, and business stakeholders

  • Passion for education and commitment to improving learning experiences through thoughtful product design

Qualifications

Need to Have:

  • 3+ years of experience for Mid-Level, 5+ years of experience for Senior in a product management, data analysis, or related role within the education or growth tech industries

  • Proven experience managing telemetry systems and analyzing large datasets.

  • Experience with data visualization software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).

  • Proficiency in Python and SQL for data manipulation and analysis.

  • Experience working with databases and data warehousing concepts.

  • Demonstrated ability to design, implement, and analyze A/B tests and other experiments.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and recommendations.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • A solid understanding of product development processes.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in education - as an instructional designer, classroom educator, or similar

  • Familiarity with statistical analysis techniques.

  • Experience in a live operations environment, focusing on monetization and optimization.
