Organization: SMF-Sutter Med Foundation - West Position Overview:

Organizes and coordinates the numerous operational functions of inventory control, including staffing, work assignments of Supply Chain personnel, and consulting on established budgets. Competently maintains accurate records of every order and monitors levels of inventory based on volume. Gains confidence and cooperation from physicians, staff, and other healthcare providers through competent job performance, and effective communication. Works independently and in conjunction with department manager/director, clinicians and physicians to promote an efficient, cost effective Supply Chain system that meets the short and long term goals of Supply Chain and clinical departments. Adheres to all local/state/federal regulations, codes, policies and procedures to ensure privacy and safety while delivering optimal patient care. May also be responsible for performing specialized procedures and/or teaching duties. Manages the Cycle Count Program and enforces annual inventory processes. Job Description: EDUCATION:

  • HS Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)

TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:

  • 4 years recent relevant experience

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Possess written and verbal communications skills to communicate with fellow team members, supervisors, patients, and other hospital personnel.
  • Well-developed time management and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize assignments and work within standardized policies and procedures to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
  • Basic knowledge of computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook), EPIC, and related information systems.
  • Interpret a variety of data and instructions, furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Prioritize assignments and work within standardized policies and procedures to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
  • Work independently, as well as be part of the team, including accomplishing multiple tasks in an environment with interruptions.
  • Identify, evaluate and resolve standard problems by selecting appropriate solutions from established options.
  • Ensure the privacy of each patient’s protected health information (PHI).
  • Build collaborate relationships with peers and other staff members to achieve departmental and corporate objectives.

Pay Range is $35.55 to $49.77 / hour The compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled. Total compensation considers multiple factors, including, but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs. Base pay is only one component of Sutter Health’s comprehensive total rewards program. Eligible positions also include a comprehensive benefits package.
