Senior Java Developer - Sunnyvale, CA

Job Description

One of our largest national retail clients is seeking a Senior Java Developer to join their Payments team. Daily responsibilities will include developing and supporting Java-based microservices, building event-driven solutions with Kafka, enhancing payment processing workflows, troubleshooting production issues, and partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-performing applications.

Skills and Requirements

-5+ years of Java development experience -Java 17+, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture -Reactive Programming with Spring WebFlux and Project Reactor -Apache Kafka experience in event-driven environments -Unit and integration testing (JUnit, Mockito) Production support and incident management experience Avro or Protobuf experience Karate or Cucumber testing frameworks Retail, ecommerce, or payments domain experience
