Job Title: NDT Inspector Job Description
The NDT Inspector performs non-destructive testing on aircraft components, carries out daily inspections, and accurately interprets test results to ensure safety, quality, and compliance with regulatory standards.
Responsibilities

Perform non-destructive testing on aircraft components using magnetic particle (mag) and penetrant (pen) inspection methods.

Conduct daily tests and inspections in accordance with established procedures and regulatory requirements.

Interpret non-destructive test results accurately and document findings in a clear and organized manner.

Identify indications of defects or discontinuities and report them following established protocols.

Follow ITAR-related requirements and adhere to all applicable regulations and company policies.

Maintain testing equipment and tools in proper working condition and report any issues promptly.

Support a repair station environment by collaborating with other technicians and inspectors to ensure timely completion of work.

Work effectively on assigned shift to meet production and maintenance schedules while maintaining high quality standards.
Essential Skills
-
Non-destructive testing (NDT) experience with magnetic particle (mag) and penetrant (pen) inspection methods.
-
NDT Level II certification in magnetic particle and penetrant testing.
-
Minimum of 3 years of experience performing NDT inspections.

Ability to interpret non-destructive test results accurately and consistently.

Knowledge of ITAR requirements and the ability to work in compliance with export control regulations.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Strong attention to detail and ability to recognize indications and defects in aircraft components.

Ability to follow written procedures, work instructions, and regulatory standards.
Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience working in an aircraft repair station or similar maintenance environment.

Familiarity with daily testing routines and documentation practices for NDT.

Capability to work effectively on both first and second shifts as required.

Strong communication skills to collaborate with technicians, inspectors, and other team members.

Organizational skills to manage multiple inspections and maintain accurate records.

Work Environment
This position is based in an aircraft repair station environment focused on maintenance and inspection of components. Work is performed on either first shift (6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.) or second shift (2:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.), depending on operational needs. The role involves regular use of non-destructive testing equipment for magnetic particle and penetrant inspections in a technical, shop-floor setting where adherence to ITAR and other regulations is essential.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Valencia, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
