About the Role

Every Uber trip starts with a simple question: where are you? Answering it accurately and reliably is surprisingly hard. Uber combines GPS, mobile sensors, machine learning, maps, and real-time data to understand where people and vehicles are and what is happening around them. We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead this work and turn it into better experiences across Uber.

You will partner closely with Engineering and Scientists to solve challenging problems in location accuracy, real-time sensing, safety, fraud, and autonomous vehicles. You will also have the opportunity to take these capabilities into the hands of millions of Riders, Eaters, and Earners through new product experiences.

This is a highly technical product role with broad scope, global scale, and direct customer impact.

What You'll Do:

  • Define product strategy for how Uber understands location, movement, and activity in the real world.

  • Work closely with engineers and scientists to build and improve ML and sensor-based systems.

  • Turn new technical capabilities into products that improve the experience and safety of Riders and Earners.

  • Lead cross-functional initiatives across Maps, Mobility, Delivery, Safety, Risk, Pricing, and Autonomous.

  • Use data and experimentation to determine what to build and measure the impact of what you ship.

  • Scale products globally across different markets, devices, and operating environments.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of product management experience shipping products with measurable impact.

  • Experience working closely with Engineering and ML/Data Science teams.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience building technically complex products at consumer or marketplace scale.

  • Strong communication and cross-functional leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with machine learning, geospatial systems, mobile, sensors, or real-time systems.

  • Experience building ML-powered consumer products.

  • Experience with platform products serving multiple teams or use cases.

  • Experience in mobility, logistics, autonomous systems, safety, fraud, or related fields.
